The 7f handicap looks an open contest and BRAZILIAN ROSE is one who brings solid recent form into the race.

Her latest efforts have come under very similar conditions and she lines up here with little change in the terms she faces. The return to seven furlongs should suit and she has been running well enough to suggest she can hold her own at this level.

In a race where several rivals arrive with questions to answer, maintaining her recent level of form could be enough to see her feature prominently.

Also worth consideration in the same race is CANDONOMORE, who may represent the more interesting value angle.

He comes into the race receiving a few pounds from some of the principals, including a 3lb pull with Brazilian Rose, which could help narrow the gap between them.

His recent runs came from very similar marks and hinted that he may be edging back toward form. With the trip ideal and a slightly more favourable weight situation this time, he could be capable of taking a step forward.

The 5f sprint handicap could be run at a strong tempo with several runners likely to press forward early, and that scenario may suit MOULIN BOOJ.

George Scott’s gelding already has solid Wolverhampton credentials, having finished first and second in two previous visits to the track. His most recent run came after a break and suggested he retains plenty of ability.

He runs here from almost exactly the same mark as that comeback effort, so there is no significant rise to contend with. If the anticipated pace develops and the leaders begin to tire late on, his finishing style could prove particularly effective.

The closing 1m4f contest for three-year-olds could revolve around CROWN INN TO WIN, who showed significant improvement when stepped up to this distance on his latest start.

That effort resulted in a 3lb rise, but the increase appears fair given how strongly he finished that day. Returning to the same distance under similar conditions, he may still have more to offer.
