Havachoc of this … Tuesday 31st March 2026 Racing from Wolverhampton

Wolverhampton Evening Preview

A smaller card on paper, but exactly the sort where things can get messy very quickly. Wolverhampton doesn’t need many runners to create problems — just one going too soon, one getting boxed in, and suddenly the “obvious” result looks anything but.

18:30 Wolverhampton – Giorgio M / Farasi Lane

Giorgio M looks the more straightforward of the pair, carrying around 9st 7lb, which is very similar to his recent runs.

From the Alice Haynes yard, with Kieran O’Neill likely to ride, he should be ridden handily. If he gets into a rhythm early, he may simply control things from the front — always a dangerous tactic here if allowed to dictate.

Farasi Lane, however, carries closer to 9st 4lb and is slightly better off at the weights. From a yard that tends to keep these types competitive, with a jockey likely to sit just off the pace, he could be the one finishing stronger.

This looks like one where Giorgio M sets it up… and Farasi Lane tries to take it off him late.

19:00 Wolverhampton – Marinakas / Danehill Star

Marinakas looks a solid option, carrying around 9st 6lb, which is broadly in line with recent runs.

From the George Boughey yard, with Billy Loughnane likely to ride, he should get a good position just behind the pace. If he travels into the straight comfortably, he may not need to find much more.

Danehill Star, meanwhile, carries around 9st 4lb and is slightly better treated. From the Tony Carroll yard, with William Carson likely riding, he brings plenty of experience and should be thereabouts.

The issue is he often looks like winning… right up until something else actually does.

20:00 Wolverhampton – Havachoc

Havachoc looks the value play of the evening, carrying around 9st 2lb, which gives him a clear edge at the weights compared to some of these.

From the Kevin Frost yard, with a jockey who tends to ride patiently, he should be delivered late. If the race develops into a proper finish — which it usually does — he could be one of those staying on when others have already committed.

At a bigger price, you’re not asking for perfection — just a bit of timing and a bit of luck… and ideally no one stopping directly in front of him at the wrong moment.

Best Bet of the Day

18:30 Wolverhampton – Giorgio M

Carries a solid weight, likely to get an easy lead or handy position, and from a yard/jockey combination that tends to keep things simple.

If he gets his own way early, he could make this look much easier than it probably is.
